365 Challenge Update Restaurant Review IHop Lethbridge

365 Challenge Update
Restaurant Review
IHop Lethbridge

January and we were off and running to a new restaurant to me.  IHop.  Heard about.  Saw the and heard advertising for it.  So on a busy end month day we decided to go in for an early lunch.  Myself, hubby, Mom and a dear friend all went.

Lethbridge IHop:
Staff:  Manager Type was well kept.  Quiet though.  Could have interacted more and smiled.

Waitress was awesome.  Patient when all of us took our time with figuring out our order.  Bubbly and smiles.  Not over the top yet genuinely friendly.  Didn't bug us often either like other places are known to do.

The Food:  All meals were well received.  Incredible flavor.  I like that they have options to cater to health concerns.  With a quick mention of take this out and add that please was done in an instant.  Apart of their Company routine.  This is awesome for health conscious people.

So lets get down to it.  The main plate:  I had the most incredible breakfast restaurant meal ever.  The eggs were not grease laden.  The meat just crisp enough, properly cooked through and wonderful flavor.  Now, personally, I hate hasbrowns.  I wondered if I deliberately chose the meal I did because of that.  What I found was really delightful.  No freezer burn.  No over processed flavor.  They were not dripping in grease.  I am glad that I liked them so much due to being picked on for not liking hasbrowns.  Now I can officially say 'I am just picky!'

The second plated item was french toast with cream filing and topped with blueberries and whipped cream.  If you are old enough to remember donut shops before they changed recipes you will love this.  It reminded me of actual proper made fritters.  The melt in your mouth kind with abundant flavor.  Now I do have to mention I chose blueberry.  Another picky part of me.  A lot of restaurants use bland or over sugar sweetened blueberries.  IHop's blueberries are right smack in the middle of that.  An appreciated surprise.  Nothing will beat home made jams and blueberry pie made of East Coast off the shore blueberries.  These impressed me.

Over all it was an excellent experience.  Only one thing surprised me.  We had to ask for water.
